Will Stone's performance at the DII Showcase garnered him GSC Freshman of the Week honors. He finished 13^th overall in a very competitive field with a time of 25:40.0 in the 8K event. This is the second time Stone has been honored by the GSC. He earned GSC Runner of the Week honors on September 18.

The Flames travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the Royals Cross Country Challenge on October 11. The race is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
