Lauren Williams has been awarded the National Christian College Athletic Assocation (NCCAA) Volleyball Player of the Week honor after a solid performance in five matches this past week for the Lee volleyball team.

The junior middle blocker started the week with nine kills and four blocks as the Lady Flames outlasted West Georgia for a 3-2 GSC victory on Tuesday.

Williams fired back with 42 slams in four matches during the Lee Invitational last weekend. The Lady Flames finished the tournament at 2-2 with victories over Campbellsville (Ky.) and Southern Wesleyan (S.C.). The native of Brooklyn Park, Minn. tallied 15 kills and eight blocks in Lee's 3-1 victory over the Warriors.

Williams and the Lady Flames will face another busy week as they will hit the road for three conference matches. On Tuesday Lee battles Alabama-Huntsville before testing Christian Brothers and Union (Tenn.) over the weekend.
