The sixth-ranked Lady Flames remained unbeaten in Gulf South Conference play and stand at 8-1-1 overall. A huge challenge awaits coach Chris Hennessey's team on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. when they play host to perennial NCAA DII power West Florida.

Kinsey Cichowitz put the Lady Flames on the board in the 17
th minute when she curled her shot into the far top corner of the net. The margin increased to 2-0 at halftime when Lauren Peters picked up an assist from Suzanne Arant and scored off a saved shot in the 27
th minute.

McKenzie Bricker tallied her third goal of the year in the 53
rd minute. It came off a ball that was deflected by the Spring Hill keeper.

In the 64
th minute, Peters tallied her second goal of the night and her sixth goal of the season. It came off an assist from Nicole Blanchard and was a hard strike from the near left wing.

The Lady Flames fired 19 shots in the contest and 10 were on target. The Badgers were able to get off only four shots against the Lee defense and just two were on target.

"Tonight was about more than soccer," explained Hennessey after the win. "It was so nice to see the kids from Hatch's House make the effort to come out and support us."

The Lee coach had very little time to enjoy the celebration. "It was nice to get another win but now our focus is on Sunday and make sure we come out mentally and physically strong for the West Florida contest."
