                     NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lee softball team stepped outside of conference play and split a doubleheader with old rival Trevecca Nazarene on Wednesday from the Trojan Softball Complex.
The Lady Flames will be back in action on Saturday as they continue their eight-game road trip in Rome, Ga. with the Shorter Hawks. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
GAME 1 LEE 6 TNU 5
Thanks to a three-run sixth inning the Lady Flames claimed the victory over the Trojans 6-5 in the opener.
The freshman duo of Hallie Davis and Stevie Baird brought Lee back after falling behind 5-3. Davis drilled a two-run double to right field to tie things up at 5-5 in the top of the sixth. Baird would bring home what turned out to be the winning run on a double of her own that scored Davis.
Lee starter Leigh Beatenbough would make the lead the stick in the final two innings. The sophomore pitched a complete game and was charged with five runs on seven hits to earn her third victory of the season.
Lexie Dean finished with three hits and drove in two continue her All-American type season at the dish. Amanda Lynn set the table with two singles, a walk and finished with three runs scored.
Haley Fagan (8-8) was tagged with the loss for the Trojans. She also went the distance and yielded six runs on 11 hits. She struck out five but struggled with her command in allowing five walks.
Andrews had two hits and drove in two runs for Trevecca. Crumpler added two RBI while Tana Whitted and Kat Burbrink each registered doubles.
GAME 2 LEE 9 TNU 10
Despite a grand slam by Davis it was the Trojans turn to rally back as they scored twice in their final at bat to claim the walk-off victory over the Lady Flames, 10-9 in Wednesday's nightcap.
Davis drilled her team-leading sixth home run of the season with the bases loaded to give Lee the early 5-1 lead in the third inning.
Trevecca responded with a six-run fourth inning to take a 7-5 lead. The Lady Flames would answer in the back and forth affair in the fifth inning as Macy Stovall earned an RBI after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Annabeth Pruett followed by reaching on error scoring a run to make it 7-7.
Kaitlin Crumpler gave the home team the lead again with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth.
Baird continued to swing the bat well and hit a two-run double to put the Lady Flames up 9-8 in the top of the sixth. 
In the bottom of the seventh, Trevecca tied things up at 9-9 after a wild pitch from Hailey Clark. The game ended on a squeeze bunt by Crumpler. The Lady Flames didn't do themselves much favors allowing two walks and three wild pitches in the frame.
Angie Hughes (4-10) started for the Lady Flames and was called on again in the seventh inning. Hughes allowed eight runs on four hits and walked eight batters in the contest. Bri Eichbaum tossed two innings in relief and gave up four hits and two runs. Clark recorded one out in the seventh before allowing the two inherited runners to score.
Sammy Jo Ivy got the nod in game two for Trevecca. She worked the first four innings. Morgan Powell (2-2) was credited with the victory after pitching three innings giving up three runs on five hits. Powell walked a pair and struck out three.
It was Dean and Lynn once again leading the offense for the Lady Flames at the top of the lineup. Dean finished with three singles and scored twice while Lynn added two more hits and scored a pair of runs.
