Hanah Rotello scored four of Lee's five goals in an 18-5 loss to The University of Virginia's College at Wise Friday afternoon at the South Quad Field.
Rotello put the Lady Flames (0-8) ahead 1-0 with an unassisted goal less than four minutes in. UVa-Wise responded with six goals in a four minute span to lead 6-1 with 20:28 left in the half.
Brianne Schapira ended the Cavaliers' run with a goal off a free position shot. Following three more goals by the visitors, Rotello scored her second of the day. The Cavaliers posted two more goals and Rotello finished the first half scoring with another unassisted goal.
UVa-Wise extended their halftime lead of 11-4 with the first seven goals of the second half. Rotello scored from a free-position shot to supply the final margin with 5:33 left.
Kristin Gobbi led the Cavaliers with six goals. Hannah Marshall added four, while Ashley Wells, Sydney Steinberg and Catherine Dina supplied two goals each.
The Lady Flames return to action Saturday afternoon against the University of Montevallo. The Gulf South Conference matchup is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Lee's South Quad Field.
