Coach Andrea Hudson has been leading Lee volleyball teams to victories over the past 27 years, but she will never forget her 800
th coaching win on Friday evening on the sport court in Walker Arena against a very athletic University of West Alabama club.
The Lady Flames appeared to be dead in the water after dropping the first two sets 25-18, 25-14. However, Lee turned the table on the hungry Tigers by claiming the third set 26-24 and then forcing the short set with a 25-21 decision. Lee got out of the gate quickly in the final set and claimed a thrilling 15-8 win and the match by a 3-2 total.
Hudson was the first to admit that she would never forget the 800
th win. "I told the girls in the locker room that I had reached a lot of milestones in my career, but most of those came with easy victories and could never compare with the win against a very good West Alabama team tonight."
Junior Silvia Sartori led the comeback charge for the Lady Flames and she had plenty of help. Sartori finished the outstanding evening performance with 20 kills and 15 digs. She also added three service aces to her double-double.
Red-shirt freshman Bailey Kress followed with 13 slams and an impressive .407 hitting mark. Another freshman, Allie Koepfer, stepped up with nine kills and seven digs. Sophomore Quinne Daoust and junior Alex Reuter had seven kills apiece.

The visitors had plenty of fire power led by Brianna Sandifer whose double-double produced 18 kills and 13 digs. Taylor Donato came away with 14 slams in a remarkable .824 hitting percentage. Bret Luther followed with 12 kills, while Kassie Till had four service aces and 12 digs. Rebecca Johnson was the dig leader with 26.
