MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Lee volleyball team lost both matches on Saturday, falling 3-0 to Montevallo in game one before dropping the nightcap, 3-1 to host Auburn Montgomery.
The Lady Flames (3-4, 2-3) will enter the Gulf South Conference Spring Championship Series Playoffs as the No. 3 seed in group B and will travel to face Mississippi College, the No. 2 seed in group A, on Saturday. The Falcons remain undefeated on the season at 10-0 and 6-0 in league play and will await the winner of Shorter and West Alabama. The Warhawks improve to 5-1 on the year and will play the winner of Union and Valdosta State.
"We played some really tough volleyball today," said Lee head coach Andrea Hudson. "We played two really good teams, but I felt we had a chance. Now we have to prepare for the tournament."

The Falcons remained undefeated with a straight set victory over the Lady Flames on Saturday evening (25-17, 25-17, 25-18).
As a team Montevallo hit a sizzling .274 while limiting Lee to just .018. Evelina Tera led the Falcons with eight kills and 11 digs. Amanda Nugent had eight and three aces while Savannah Roys posted 17 assists and two digs.
Abby Stroh led Lee with seven kills and a pair of aces. Emma Flowers did a little bit of everything with six slams, 10 assists, 10 digs and two blocks.
The Lady Flames were doomed by slow starts in sets two and three. Lee fell behind 11-4 in set one and 15-3 in set two. The Lady Flames were within two at 12-10 before a 13-8 run by the Falcons ended the match in set three.

The Lady Flames took set one, 25-22 before Auburn Montgomery won the final three sets for a 3-1 victory Saturday night (25-17, 25-19, 25-20).
Abby Stroh and Allie Whittinghill led the Lady Flames with 14 kills each. Stroh added 11 digs and Emma Flowers posted nine slams, five assists and three blocks.
Nyah Whittlesey registered a double-double with 13 kills and 17 digs. Isadora Nicolai dished off 43 assists and had hammered home three aces in the win.
For the match, the Warhawks hit a .215 mark while Lee connected on .156. The Warhawks held a 9-2 edge in aces and 10-7 advantage in blocks.
