NEW ORLEANS – The Lee University cross country teams combined to account for 12 2022 NCAA DII Cross Country U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Honors. That total was the second-most among all programs with Wingate University amassing 13 honorees.

Athletes earned the distinction of All-Region by virtue of a top-25 finish at one of the eight regional sites. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.

The Flames were one of four men's teams to have all seven athletes claim All-Region honors. Colorado School of Mines (South Central Region), Southern Connecticut (East Region) and Wingate (Southeast Region) were the other three.

Silas Eckenroad, Matthew Fowler, Ezekiel Harless, Aaron Himes, Hayden Judge, Evan Moore and Will Stone received All-Region honors for the Lee men. Representing the Lady Flames as All-Region were Megan Adams, Lily Hare, Danielle Horter, Liza Kellerman and Olivia McLain.

The Flames recorded their second consecutive South Region Championship, while the Lady Flames claimed their third-straight region title to earn automatic berths to the 2022 NCAA DII Championships.
