It was an offensive explosion at Butler Field on Friday as the Lady Flames outscored Christian Brothers by a combined score of 31-14 to complete a Gulf South Conference doubleheader sweep.
The victories move the Lady Flames to 22-17 and 13-9 in in the GSC. The Bucs fall to 13-27 and 7-16. The two teams will wrap up the three-games series tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.
"I challenged us to come out and take better advantage of our offensive opportunities in game two and I think we definitely responded," said Lee head coach Emily Russell. That being said, I feel like we took a step back pitching wise against them in game two. We weren't sharp and had to throw in hitters counts to0 often. We were obviously able to overcome it in the end but in the early innings we couldn't keep the lead."
