FULL RESULTS
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-The Lee University men's track and field team opened the season at the Birmingham South College Indoor Icebreaker. The meet featured 38 teams from all levels of collegiate competition and the Flames had a good showing to get the new indoor season underway.
Doniven Jackson was the top finisher in the 60 meter dash coming in 11th with a time of 6.96. He then followed that up with a second place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.85. Nokia Masengu took 10th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.39. Nicquaine Henry came in third in the 400 meter run with a time of 48.79.
Titus Lagat won the 800 meter run with a time of 1:53.64. Evan Moore came in tenth in the event with a time of 1:59.42. The one mile run was all the Flames as they took three of the top four spots with Ryan Lovelace taking the victory with a time of 4:11.62. The 3000 meter race also prominently featured the Flames as they were in four of the top six spots. Jacob Hatcher was the winner with a time of 8:23.92.
Cameron Stine came in eighth place in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.61. The 4x400 relay had the Flames take second place with a time of 3:16.97 and the "B" team come in eighth place with a time of 3:25.77.
Stine also came in fourth in the high jump clearing 1.95 meters. Eli Brooks was fourth in the pole vault as he cleared 4.45 meters while Riley Margene was in tenth with a height of 4.00 meters. Camden Williams was sixth in the shot put with a distance of 14.37 meters. Matthew Black was fourth in the weight throw with a distance of 17.69 meters while Williams came in seventh with a distance of 15.90 meters.
The Flames will be back on action after the new year as they will go to the UAB Blazer invite on January 13th in Birmingham.
