BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Stephen Clark and Maria Mitchell were each named Gulf South Conference track athletes of the week for the their respective Lee University track and field teams. For Clark it is the second straight week he has earned the recognition.

Maria Mitchell competed in the 3000-meter Steeplechase at Raleigh Relays this past weekend. She placed 23rd out of 71 in a loaded field of Division I and II talent. She ran a 10:25.82. This mark places her first in the nation in national rankings as well as conference standings.
 
Stephen Clark also competed in 3000-meter steeplechase at Raleigh Relays this past weekend. He placed 25th out of 74 competitors. He ran a 8:52.54. His mark is good for a national rank of fourth and first in conference standings.
