CLEVELAND, Tenn.- The Lee University soccer teams had eight players named to the 2024 Academic All-District Teams for their excellence in the classroom. The 2024 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To qualify for the recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the games.
For the Lady Flames, Jordan Blair, Grace Berry, Sydnee Duncan, Ashley Eulo, Avery Sides, and Abby Whitcomb all received recognition. Blair, a senior, has a 3.91 GPA in exercise science. Berry, a junior, has a 3.59 GPA in nursing. Senior Ashley Eulo has a 3.83 GPA in Human Development (Business Emphasis). Another senior, Sydnee Duncan has a 3.97 GPA in exercise science. Avery Sides, a junior, has a 3.90 GPA in nursing. Junior Whitcomb, has a 3.58 GPA in biology.
Marcos Garcia and Shay Gillen were the two for the Flames that received recognition. Garcia is a junior and has a 3.95 GPA in finance. Gillen is also a junior and has a 3.78 GPA in finance as well.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 10, 2024 (men) and Dec. 11, 2024 (women).
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
