RESULTS

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Lee University Women's Track & Field team accumulated 126 points to finish first out of 24 teams at the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational this weekend at the Ray Conn Sports Complex. The Lady Flames collected two NCAA Division II Provisional times to go along with five event wins.

Danielle Horter recorded an NCAA Division II Provisional time of 35:15.36 to finish second in the 10000-meter Run. The time to meet was 36:21.84. McKenna Cavanaugh collected Lee's second provisional mark in the 3000-meter Steeplechase. Cavanaugh beat the standard of 11:02.99 with a first-place time and meet record of 10:34.05. Her time is the seventh-best posted this season while Horter's time in the 10K is No. 8. Ashlyn Iliff was second in the steeplechase and came close to the provisional mark with a time of 11:13.52.

Hannah Wright (14.24) and Lily Brown (15:39) were first and second, respectively, in the 100-meter Hurdles with Wright recording a meet record. Wright added a second-place finish in the 400-meter Hurdles with another meet record time of 1:02.81 and Brown was fifth (1:06.73).

Letlhogonolo Magoro posted a first-place finish in the 800-meter Run after stopping the clock at 2:13.33. Aria Hawkins was third (2:14.28) and Lily Hare was right behind in fourth (2:14.71). Megan Adams (2:17.51) finished 11^th, Katie Beam placed 12^th (2:17.53) and Zoe Brickley was 18^th (2:18.32). Beam was also 16^th in the 1500-meter Run with a time of 4:50.83.

Cavanaugh was the top runner in the Mile after finishing at 4:52.99. Hare was fourth (4:59.46) and Adams (5:05.39) placed eighth. Brickley (5:14.78) claimed 10^th and Hawkins (5:16.35) was 11^th.

Carissa Hall, Delphine Dah and Jakara Tobler placed in the top 13 of the 400-meter Dash. Hall's time of 57.63 seconds put her in second place. Dah was 10^th (1:00.39) and Tobler crossed the finish line at 1:00.98 for 13^th.

Sydney White placed 11^th in the 200-meter Dash with a time of 26.01 seconds. Janay Ryan was 14^th (26.15), Dah (26:34) was 18^th and Tobler finished in 22^nd (26.75).

The 4x400-meter Relay team of Dah, Magoro, Ryan and Tobler combined for a fourth-place time of 3:59.36.

Katie Krueger, Phoebe Moran and Julia Halterman were Lee's representatives in the 5000-meter Run. Krueger finished eighth (17:22.17), Moran was 32^nd (18:22.00) and Halterman came in 38^th (18:32.71).

Brynn Depinet went over 3.65 meters to claim second place in the Pole Vault. Nicole Counter was eighth with a mark of 3.35 meters. Devon Jackett cleared 1.55 meters to finish seventh in the High Jump.

Samara Brinks led two other Lady Flames in the Shot Put. She placed second with a mark of 11.94 meters. White was 13^th with a measurement of 10.75 meters and Olivia Davidson was 17^th with a throw of 10.18 meters.

Brinks was also Lee's top performer in the Javelin where her throw of 30.29 meters put her in 11^th. Davidson placed 12^th with a mark of 30.05 meters and White was 16^th with a distance of 30.29 meters.

The Lady Flames are scheduled to return to competition the weekend of April 19-20 at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The meet will be held at George C. Griffin Track in Atlanta.
 
NOTE: On Friday, members of the women's team that are graduating in May, July or next December; and anyone who is done with eligibility this spring were recognized in a Senior Day ceremony. Those honored were McKenna Cavanaugh, Jydia Faucette, Carissa Hall, Danielle Horter and Hannah Wright.
