BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference office released the 2026 GSC Outdoor Track & Field Yearly Award winners as selected by the head coaches Tuesday afternoon. Aria Hawkins and Head Coach Caleb Morgan represented the Lee teams. Hawkins was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Year while Morgan was voted Women's and Men's Coach of the Year.
Hawkins was previously named the Most Outstanding Overall Performer and Most Outstanding Track Performer of the 2026 GSC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships where she claimed individual championships in the 1500-meter run, 5000-meter run and 10000-meter run.
Morgan led the Lady Flames to their ninth-straight GSC title and the Flames to their third championship over the last four seasons.
The GSC also announced its All-GSC performers for the 2026 season. Honorees were determined based on their finish during the GSC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The Lady Flames had five athletes earn First Team All-GSC honors with Hawkins doing so in three events (1500m, 5000m and 10000m). Gracie Waite was a two-time First Team mention in the shot put and discus. Liz Lannom earned the honor in the 100m hurdles, Maria Mitchell in the 3000m steeplechase and Brynn Depinet in the pole vault.
Mitchell was also Second Team All-GSC in the 5000m. Joining her on the Second Team were: Maddox Mayfield (400m), Annika Barrett (400m hurdles), Capucine Cureau (10000m), Addison Kohlmeier (pole vault) and Jydia Faucette (triple jump).
Pierre Chauveau led the Flames with two First Team All-GSC mentions in the 1500m and 5000m. Gage Whited (200m), Stephen Clark (3000m steeplechase), Tucker Wright (10000m) and Shaw Helfrich (pole vault) joined Chauveau on the First Team list.
Whited (100m) and Clark (1500m) added Second Team All-GSC honors to their accolades. Eli Cobble (400m), Parker Campbell (3000m steeplechase), Edimo Ninteretse (10000m) and Rodney Ngezimani (discus) rounded out the Lee men earning Second All-GSC recognition.
