BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After a strong week minding the goal for the Lee University men's soccer team, Jakob Buhrkuhl was named Gulf South Conference goalkeeper of the week.

He helped lead the Flames to a win over Cedarville University and a tie with #20 Lincoln Memorial University. In the two games, he had nine saves and only gave up one goal.

This week the Flames open up the GSC slate with home games on Friday and Sunday. Lee will host the University of West Alabama on Friday at 7:30 PM and then the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Sunday at 3:30 PM.
