BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After earning a win and tie last week, Alaysia Nye and Nora Burton each earned a weekly award from the Gulf South Conference. Nye was named player of the week while Burton was the defender of the week. The two seniors for the Lee University women's soccer team helped lead the Lady Flames to a win over the University of Montevallo and a tie with Embry-Riddle University.

It is the second time for Nye to earn player of the week accolades. She had two goals in the win over Montevallo this week. In the two games against UM and Embry Riddle she took seven shots with four on goal.
 
Burton played in both games this week on defense getting one start. She had a goal against Montevallo with two shots and both of those on goal. She helped Lee shutout Embry Riddle.
