Lee Volleyball Quartet Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District

CLEVELAND, Tenn.- The Lee University volleyball team had four players named to the 2025 Academic All-District Teams for their excellence in the classroom. The 2025 Academic All-District® Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Liberos, although not counted in stats as a starter, may be counted as such for nominating purposes.

Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 13, 2026.

Mikayla Buhr, Izzy Denton, Sophia Lippert, and Sara Palumbo were the quartet recognized for their academic achievement.

Buhr, a sophomore, has a  3.92 GPA in business. The senior Denton carries a 3.94 GPA in health science. Lippert, a red-shirt junior, is a elementary education major with a 3.71 GPA. Palumbo  has a 4.0 GPA in busniess as a sophomore.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
