BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After a big week leading Lee to wins over the University of West Florida and Valdosta State University, Anna Muhonen was named the Gulf South Conference player of the week as announced by the league on Monday.

It was the first time in her career that Muhonen has earned the award. She had a career high 29 points in the win over VSU. She averaged 20.5 PPG and eight rebounds a game this past weekend.. Shot 50% from the field and 75% from the free throw line. On defense she had six total blocks with five of them against UWF.
