Lady Flames Post Seven New Provisional Marks Over Weekend

GEORGIA TECH RESULTS | MOUNTAIN LAUREL RESULTS

ATLANTA/SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Lee University women's track & field team produced seven new NCAA Division II Provisional performances this weekend at two separate meets. Most of the team traveled to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Invitational while those participating in the pole vault went to the Mountain Laurel Invite at Sewanee.

Brynn Depinet highlighted the weekend with a successful clearance of 3.97 meters to win the pole vault at the Mountain Laurel Invite. Her vault met the provisional height of 3.79 meters and stands at No. 13 among DII athletes this season.

Nicole Counter and Ayla Misavage joined Depinet in the pole vault. Counter cleared 3.10 meters for fifth place and Misavage placed seventh with a mark of 2.95 meters.

Lily Hare and Estella Clemons beat the 800 and 1500-meter run provisional times of 2:11.62 and 4:30.17, respectively. Hare completed the 800 in 2:10.68 for ninth place and Clemons was 12th at 2:11.23. Hare was 12th (4:24.82) in the 1500 and Clemons was 15th (4:27.41). Hare's 1500 meter time was the only one to put either runner in the top 20 on either event's performance list.

Abi Moore joined Hare and Clemons in the 800 and placed 56th with a time of 2:20.51. Ana Patricia Campos completed the 1500 in 4:36.45 for 32nd.

Ashlyn Iliff moved to 31st in DII with a time of 10:46.72 in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Iliff placed second at Georgia Tech and beat the provisional standard of 11:00.51.

Lee's 4x400-meter relay team of Sydney White, Liz Lannom, Clemons and Madison Mayfield finished eighth with a total time of 3:48.00 to finish 0.34 seconds under the time to beat.

Lannom was Lee's top performer in the 100-meter dash. She stopped the clock at 12.03 seconds for 24th place. Jydia Faucette (12.35) was 61st and Ane Peasley finished 79th (12.71). Faucette also finished 59th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.29 seconds. White crossed the finish line of the 400-meter dash at 58.37 seconds (46th).

Lannom, Peasley and Lily Brown were the Lee representatives in the 100-meter hurdles. Lannom finished 38th (14.59), Peasley (15.03) was 56th and Brown placed 68th (15.65).

In the 400-meter hurdles, Faucette posted a time of 1:04.51 for 33rd position and Brown was 39th at 1:06.49. Faucette also competed in the long jump where she finished 22nd with a mark of 5.35 meters.

Gracie Waite posted a mark of 38.10 meters to finish 25th in the discus. She added a 32nd-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.50 meters.

Samara Brinks placed 24th with a 46.37 meter throw of the hammer. Olivia Davidson threw the javelin 34.74 meters to place 14th. White was 22nd with a mark of 28.41 meters.

The Lady Flames are back in action at the beginning of May in the GSC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The meet is set for May 1-3 at Lee's Ray Conn Sports Complex.
