Men's Track & Field Competes at Tennessee Invite

RESULTS

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Lee University men's track & field team took a short trip this weekend to compete at the 2025 Tennessee Invite. The meet was held Friday and Saturday at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium on the campus of the University of Tennessee.

Cooper Giddens placed 31st in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.91 seconds. He was also 33rd (22.09) in the 200-meter dash. Aiden Shaw placed 25th (21.80) and Eli Cobble was 29th (21.94) at the 200-meter distance.

Shaw and Cobble were Lee's representatives in the 400-meter dash. Shaw stopped the clock at 48.70 seconds for 10th and Cobble was 20th (49.75).

The Flames placed two runners in the top 12 of the 800-meter run. Evan Moore finished 10th with a time of 1:53.91 and Stephen Clark was 12th (1:55.00). Tal Old joined them and posted a time of 1:58.13 (33rd).

Clark added an 18th-place finish in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:59.90. Elijah Moran stopped the clock at 4:02.41 for 26th.

Cameron Stine crossed the finish line of the 110-meter hurdles at 15.68 seconds for 19th place. John Womack was 21st in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.18.

Giddens, Shaw, Isaac Iosia and Cobble combined to run the 4x100-meter relay. The foursome combined for a 10th-place time of 41.98 seconds.

Jacob Salters joined Stine in the high jump. Salters cleared 1.93 meters for 14th and Stine was successful at 1.83 meters to finish 18th. Salters garnered eighth place with a 14.25 meter mark in the triple jump. Giddens covered 11.62 meters for 17th place.

Camden Williams and Carrington Tate took on the shot put where Williams placed 10th with a mark of 15.29 meters. Tate finished 19th with a throw of 12.30 meters.

Braxton Philpott led two other Flames in the discus. He recorded a throw of 44.11 meters for 15th placed and Williams was right behind in 16th with a mark of 43.83 meters. Carter Duncan's throw of 35.14 meters put him at No. 26. Duncan also placed 14th with a 47.84-meter throw in the javelin.

The Flames return to action next weekend in the Lee University – Fast Break Athletics Invitational. The meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Ray Conn Sports Complex.
