BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After a solid outing to start the season at the South Showcase, the Lee University women's cross country team swept the weekly Gulf South Conference awards. Maria Mitchell was named GSC runner of the week and Capucine Cureau was named the freshman of the week.

The Lady Flames' first finisher at the Southern Showcase was Maria Mitchell at 24^th. The transfer from Grand Valley State stopped the clock at 17:16.68. Freshman Capucine Cureau was 78^th overall at 17:56.64
