BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After the Lee University women's soccer team earned two shutout wins this past week, two seniors earned a weekly award from the Gulf South Conference. Alaysia Nye was named the GSC Player of the Week while Avery Sides was named the GSC Defender of the Week.

Alaysia Nye had two goals and an assist this week in two shutout wins. In 103 minutes of action, she took five shots with four on goal. She scored the only goal in the win over Valdosta State University. She is the leading goal scorer in the GSC.
 
Avery Sides had an assist this weekend. She helped lead the Flames to two shutout wins and only committed one foul in 172 minutes. The Lee defense held VSU and Auburn University Montgomery to just nine combined shots with none on goal.
