BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- For the second straight week and the third time this season, Anna Muhonen has been named the Gulf South Conference player of the week as announced by the league on Tuesday. Muhonen has now tied Lilli Wilken of the University of Alabama in Huntsville for the most player of the week accolades this season. Erin Whalen of Valdosta State University has two and Bella Machen of the University of West Alabama has one.

Muhonen averaged a double-double this week. In just 21 minutes against Auburn University Montgomery she had 23 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. She shot 75% from the floor and 83% from the free throw line. Against the University of Montevallo she had 24 points and 15 rebounds and three assists. She shot 68% in that game and was only 2-of-7 from the free throw line.
