Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Lee University women's basketball team outscored host Auburn University Montgomery 48-13 in the second and third quarters in coasting to a 77-41 Gulf South Conference victory on Thursday evening. The win improved the Lady Flames' record to 8-4 in conference play and 12-5 overall. The Warhawks dropped to 2-8, 3-15.
Lee is scheduled to resume road action again on Saturday afternoon at the University of Montevallo. The starting time has been moved up to 1 p.m. EST because of possible winter weather conditions.
Anna Muhonen continued her double-digit scoring with 23 points. She made 9-of-15 field goal attempts and 5-of-6 free throws. Hannah Jones followed with 13 points. She made 4-of-5 shots overall and was perfect from the charity stripe (5-of-5). Baylee Delbridge followed with 12 points.
The Lady Flames made 28-of-57 field goal attempts (49%) and 6-of-17 treys (35%). They were excellent from the charity stripe, making 15-of-17 attempts. Lee won the rebounding battle 43-32. Libby Privett pulled down eight to lead that category while Muhonen went to the glass for seven and Delbridge grabbed five.
The Lee defense held the Warhawks to only 24% (13-of-54) field goal attempts. The home squad made just 2-of-12 triples (17%) and converted 13-of-18 charity attempts. Samya Brooks was the only Warhawk in double-figure scoring. She tallied 15 points. Both teams took care of the basketball. Lee had 12 turnovers and AUM 14.

"Good performance by our team on the road tonight. I thought we did good things on both ends of the floor but I definitely felt like defensively is where we stretched it out in the middle of the game. No time to rest. We will need to respond Saturday in another tough place to play."
