Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Lee University volleyball team started the weekend road trip with a split. The Flames lost to Augusta University 3-2 and then beat North Greenville University 3-1 on Friday. Jasmine Terry had a fantastic day with 14 kills and 14 digs in the loss to Augusta and then followed that up with 15 kills and 18 digs in the win over NGU.

GAME 1
Lee was up 2-0 on Augusta before falling in five sets 3-2. The Flames ran away with it in set one 25-17 before squeaking it our 26-24 in set two. Augusta rallied and won set three 25-21. Then they hung to win set four 25-22. The Jags closed out the reverse sweep 15-11.

Lee hit .215 as a team which was better than Augusta's .196. However, it was the service that did Lee in. Lee had 12 aces and 11 service errors. Meanwhile, the Jags had 16 aces and13 service errors. 
Nikol Antova for Augusta gave Lee problems all day. She had 17 kills, three aces, four block assists, and 11 digs to lead the Jags.

For Lee, Terry had the 14 kills while hitting .281. Jordyn Butler added 12 kills. As a team, Lee had 51 kills but 21 hitting errors. Berra Soyler and Sydney Sharpe each had 21 assists.

GAME 2

Lee immediately had to lace it up and go again. They won the first set 25-19. NGU answered with a 25-23 win in set two. Then the two teams battled in sets three and four with Lee each one in extra points; 28-26, 27-25.

NGU had three more kills than Lee (56-53), but Lee hit .237 while NGU hit .182. The Flames were a little better in the service category as they had 10 aces to nine for the Trailblazers. Lee only had six service errors in the contest.

Terry had her second double-double of the day as she hit .361 in the contest. She ended with 15 kills, 18 digs, two aces, and two block assists. Butler also contributed 11 kills. Soyler and Sharpe once again had the exact same amount of assists with 22 apiece.

Lee will head across the state line into South Carolina and will take on USC-Aiken at 11 AM Saturday morning.

Coach Christa Fabre's Thoughts:
"We let Augusta, an aggressive serving team, take us out of system, and after having control, we allowed the match to slip away from us. That's something we have to own. I was proud of how we responded in the second match. We found a way to win four tight sets, but we still saw the same issues show up in certain rotations and allowed runs that put unnecessary pressure on us. There were some really good moments today, but also some very clear areas where we need to get better. The biggest takeaway is that we have to become more consistent when things aren't going our way."
