Lee women's soccer player Nicole Blanchard has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week.

Blanchard scored three goals in two Gulf South Conference (GSC) matches over the weekend to help give Lee weekend split. The freshman forward now leads the team with six goals on the year.

The Lady Flames battled West Florida on Friday evening. Lee gave up a first half goal but battled back to tie things up at 1-1 on Blanchard's goal in the 60th minute. The Argonauts would score the game-winner just two minutes later however.

Blanchard and the Lady Flames bounced back on Sunday defeating Spring Hill, 4-0. The Grandville, Mich. native scored two more goals to help pace the high-powered Lee offense. 

The Lady Flames will be on the road this week for a pair of GSC contests. On Friday they travel to Livingston to test West Alabama before facing Alabama-Huntsville on Sunday.
