MJ Brown has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week after guiding the baseball team to the NCCAA Mid-East Region title last week at Olympic Field.

The right-handed hitting third baseman started postseason play with a double, two singles and two runs scored in Lee's 13-0 whalloping of Ohio Christian on Tuesday.

Brown added a pair of hits and a RBI as the Flames topped Bluefield College on Wednesday by a 7-3 margin. Lee would claim the region crown on Thursday defeating the Rams again this time by an 8-1 final. The junior added three hits including a two-run double in the contest.

The Loganville, Ga. native is hitting .301 on the year with seven doubles and three home runs. Brown and the Flames will now get set for the NCCAA World Series next week in Mason, Ohio. Lee finished second to Fresno Pacific in last year's championship.
