BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Lee goalkeeper Haley Gribler was named the GSC Women's Soccer Defender of the Week on Tuesday. 

Gribler posted a clean sheet in Lee's victory against West Florida on Friday evening. The sophomore faced 18 shots and totaled seven saves, including one huge stop on a penalty kick with just 1:17 seconds remaining in regulation. The Springboro, Ohio native totaled over 101 minutes in goal as the Lady Flames won 1-0 in two overtime periods.

Gribler and the Lady Flames are now 5-3-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play, sitting them in a tie for second in the standings.

Lee will host a pair of GSC matches this weekend at the Lee Soccer Field. On Friday the Lady Flames battle conference front-runner and undefeated West Alabama (5 p.m.) before facing off with Alabama-Huntsville on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
