Laura Thacker has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week.

The senior defender was named to the D2CCA All-South Region Second Team last week. Thacker scored four goals and added one assist while leading the Lady Flames to an 11-5-4 record and a birth in the NCAA D2 National Championship Tournament this past season.

Thacker, a native of Lowestoft, England, was also named to the Gulf South Conference First Team. Her attacking style and leadership will be missed according to head coach Chris Hennessey, "We will miss Laura's presence in the back line next season. She is such a competitor and loves the game."
