Keevin Tyus has been named the Lee University Male Athlete of the Week after the Flames' opened up conference play this past weekend.

Tyus, a junior guard, scored 15 points and grabbed eight boards as Lee (2-5) fell to Christian Brothers, 72-56 on Thursday night. The Cincinnati native bounced back on Saturday with 12 points and five rebounds as the Flames ran out of steam in the second half, falling 81-61 to Union.

Tyus is averaging 15.6 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting 61.8 percent from the field on the young season. Lee will be back in action this week as they host Valdosta State on Thursday at 8 p.m. and West Florida on Saturday at 4 p.m. in a pair of Gulf South Conference games.
