Scoring a career-high 33 points on Saturday, Lee women's basketball guard Erin Walsh has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week.

Walsh was 12 of 22 from the field and hit five triples to give the Lady Flames a 75-60 victory over Christian Brothers on Saturday afternoon.

Walsh registered 27 points and hit five more 3-pointers in a tough overtime loss to Union on Thursday (73-71). 

The sharpshooting sophomore from Knoxville is leading the team with averaging 17.7 points per game on 44 percent shooting from the field. She is hitting 43 percent of her shots from beyond the arc.

Walsh and the Lady Flames are currently 13-5 overall and 10-3 in the Gulf South Conference. Lee sits in second place one game back of Delta State and Union.

Lee will travel to West Florida on Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. tip before traveling to Valdosta State on Saturday.
