Junior Keevin Tyus has been named Lee University's Male Athlete of the Week after leading the Flames' in scoring last week.

The forward from Cincinnati, Ohio scored 25 points and hauled in seven rebounds in 25 minutes in Lee's impressive 98-80 road victory over West Florida on Thursday.

Tyus tallied 17 points and seven more boards on Saturday as the Flames fell to Valdosta State, 74-70.

Tyus leads the team with 14.9 points per game and averages 7.2 rebounds per outing. The slashing forward shoots a sizzling 63.6 percent from the field, doing most of his damage from the post.

Tyus and the Flames will settle back home on Thursday as they begin a four-game homestand against GSC frontrunner Alabama Huntsville at 8 p.m.
