Lee infielder Luke Toms (r-Sr.; Hagerstown, Md.) was named the Gulf South Conference Baseball Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Toms turned in a big week at the plate. He was 3-for-5 with a homerun and three RBI against Young Harris to start the week and capped the week with a 6-for-12 effort against Christian Brothers, including three more home runs and seven RBI.

Toms is second on the team with 14 homeruns and is tied for the lead with 46 RBI. He's hitting .340 and also has 10 doubles on the year.

Toms and the Flames (28-14, 16-9)  are currently sixth in the GSC and have won eight straight games and 11 of their last 13. Lee will travel to Mississippi College for a crucial conference weekend series beginning on Saturday before wrapping up regular season play with No. 11 West Florida at Olympic Field Apr. 30 and May 1.
