Women's soccer forward Summer Lanter has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week.

Lanter led the way for the Lady Flames scoring a hat trick with three goals as Lee fired past Shorter in Rome, Ga. on Sunday by a 5-1 final.

The junior from Soddy Daisy, Tenn. leads the team with six goals on the season and is tied for second in the Gulf South Conference in goals scored.

Lanter and the Lady Flames are currently ranked No. 6 in the country and sit at 5-1-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. Lee will head back on the road for a weekend GSC matches at Christian Brothers on Friday and at Union on Sunday.
