MaKayla Beebe has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week.

The sophomore libero led the defensive effort for the Lady Flames this past week with 20 digs in each of their two matches. Lee fell to West Georiga, 3-0 on the road on Friday but bounced back to earn a 3-0 victory over West Alabama on Saturday afternoon in Walker Arena.

The native of Aurora, Ill. leads the team with 203 digs to go along with 11 service aces.

Beebe and the Lady Flames will welcome rival Shorter to town on Thursday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Mississippi College on Saturday for an early 11 a.m. first serve.
