BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Lee baseball senior Geremy Walton has been named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week after helping to guide the Flames to a series victory over No. 15 Catawba College over the weekend at Olympic Field.

Walton hit .636 over the three-game set with two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. The Atlanta native had three hits in Lee's 6-0 game one victory over the Indians. On Sunday he had three more hits, scored two runs and drove in two as Lee topped Catawba 8-7 to win the rubber match.

Walton and the Flames will head on the road for a four-game trip beginning on Thursday at Albany State at 4 p.m. Lee will then travel to Florida and visit Saint Leo for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
