Brad Davis has been named Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after a strong showing this past weekend at the Rome-Shorter Relays in Rome, Ga.

Davis placed second in the 200 Meter Dash with a new school record of 21.36. The Cleveland, Tenn. native also placed third in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 10.60. Both times were fast enough to qualify him for the NAIA Outdoor Track National Championships in Marion, Ind. on May 22-24. The freshman ran the fastest 200m time in the NAIA this season.

Next up for Davis and the Lee Track squad will be the Sea Ray Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee, the weekend of April 11-13.
