Softball sophomore Taylor Moran has been named the Lee University Female Athlete of the Week as she continued her incredible season at the plate last week.

Moran, a native of Chattanooga and former standout for Silverdale Baptist Academy hit .583 with two home runs and 7 RBI to lead the Lady Flames to a 3-2 mark last week.  Lee swept Young Harris College last Wednesday before dropping 2 of 3 to Auburn Montgomery over the weekend.

Moran currently ranks in the top 20 in the nation in batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, hits and RBI.

The Lady Flames will travel to No. 23 Valdosta State this weekend for the a three-game Gulf South Conference series before returning home on Wednesday to host Tusculum in a non-conference doubleheader.
