Baseball pitcher Christian Bokich has been named the Lee Male Athlete of the Week.

The senior hurled a sparkling no-hitter for six innings in helping direct the Lee baseball team to a 4-3 non-conference victory over rival Trevecca Nazarene University last Tuesday.
 
The impressive Bokich (2-0) retired the first 13 Trojans he faced before finally issuing a free pass in the sixth inning. Over six innings Bokich struck out eight and walked two. 
 
"The difference in the game for us was our bullpen. The eight-shutout innings, led by six of them from Bokich, was big to see," said head coach Mark Brew.

Bokich and the Flames will play their final home series this weekend as they host West Georgia. The three-game set gets under way Friday evening at 6 p.m. On Saturday Lee will host its annual Military Appreciation Day with festivities starting at 1 p.m. and first pitch of the doubleheader slated for a 2 p.m. start.
