Seth Eagleson was named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after an impressive showing in his first collegiate race.

Eagleson, a true freshman from New Palestine, Ind., jumped into the spotlight by winning the 8K event in the annual Sewanee Invitational. He ran the tough Monteagle course in 26 minutes and 13 seconds.
 
"This was the first 8k race Seth has run," said Lee cross country head coach Caleb Morgan. "He ran a great race and we expect him to progress much more through the year. He has been working very hard and is a very humble teammate."
 
Seth and his teammates will face a challenging test on Saturday when they travel to Nashville to take part in the Vanderbilt Classic.
