ORLANDO, Fla. – The Lee University women's tennis team continued their spring break trip with a 9-0 win over University of Sciences in Philadelphia.
"We showed great focus in the doubles in extremely windy conditions," added Hynes. "It was a really good complete performance today."
Laura Beth Hardesty joined Ana Webber to defeat Jillyan Serrano and Gabrielle Soriano 8-1. Francesca Tondi and Marta Garcia-Nieto were 8-2 winners over Karla Miletic and Julia James. Krista Good and Joanna Grzegrzolka beat Abby Gamarnik and Elkanah Linder, 8-3, for the doubles sweep.
Webber blanked James at No. 4 singles and Grzgrzolka secured the team win with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Linder. Hardesty beat Serrano 6-1 and 6-2. Tondi did not drop a game in her No. 1 singles match with Miletic.Nicole Shennett was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at No. 6 singles and Garcia-Nieto finished the shutout with a 7-5, 6-1 win against Gamarnik.
The Lady Flames will return to competition on Thursday with an 8 a.m. match against University of Minnesota Duluth.
