RESULTS
The Lee University men's track & field team competed in the Lee University Last Chance Meet Saturday at Ray Conn Sports Complex. In the last weekend that results are allowed to be used for qualifying for the upcoming NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the Flames improved their standing in one event.
The 4x400-Meter Relay team of Wynand Du Toit, Jeremiah McCain, Nokia Masengu and Titus Lagat posted a first-place time of 3:11.84. The time met the provisional mark of 3:14.05 and is the 18
th-best time this season.
Du Toit finished seventh in the 400-Meter Dash with a time of 47.97 seconds. McCain placed third with a time of 52.16 seconds in the 400-Meter Hurdles. Lagat crossed the finish line of the 800-Meter Run at 1:50.14 (seventh). Masengu completed the 100-Meter Dash in 10.94 seconds for 36
th.
Daniel Surman placed fifth in the Pole Vault with a clearance of 4.63 meters. He also was 51
st in the 200-Meter Dash with a time of 23.75.
Will Stone and Jacob Hatcher competed in the 1500-Meter Run. Stone (3:49.04) finished 12
th and Hatcher was 20
th (3:53.57). Caleb Eagleson completed the 10000-Meter Run in 30:52.18 to claim 10
th place.
Silas Eckenroad led four Flames in the 5000-Meter Run. He stopped the clock at 14:45.24. Evan Moore was 25
th (14:59.20) with Casey Guthery right behind in 26
th (15:03.13). Adan Rodriguez placed 49
th with a time of 15:25.30.
Matthew Black took on the Discus Throw and Hammer Throw. He finished 12
th with a throw of 37.88 meters in the discus and tossed the hammer 45.75 meters for 10
th place. Caleb Long was sixth in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 57.08 meters.
The 2022 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held May 26-28 at Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium in Allendale, Michigan, and will be hosted by Grand Valley State University and the West Michigan Sports Commission. The Championships fields will be announced on Tuesday, May 17.
