BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second time this season, Lee University senior Haylee Johnson has been named the Gulf South Conference player of the week as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Johnson had another big week as Lee went 2-0. In the 3OT win over Mississippi College. She played 53 minutes and did not commit a foul. She had 23 points against MC and 26 against Delta State University including the game wining shot with 3.7 seconds left. She shot 47% this week and had 13 total rebounds. She added six assists, a block, and a steal.
Lee will wrap up the regular season with two games at home. On Thursday, the Lady Flames will host Christian Brothers University. Then on senior day on Saturday, Lee will host Union University.
