MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The No. 15 Lady Flames tennis team was defeated by No. 1 Auburn University at Montgomery, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon at the AUM Tennis Courts.

Lee (1-1, 0-1 SSAC) dropped both the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches, 8-1. Tonya Walters and Tarah Garner were beaten by the No. 3-rated team of Jade Curtis and Morgane Zowczak. Maclain Yowarsky and Christy North fell to Chanel Cunningham and Tiffany William.

Jodie Rice and Kelsey Lovingood battled Hagar Caro and Maria Fernanda Vargas before coming up on the short end of an 8-5 margin.

Walters lost 6-0, 6-2 to No. 5 Jade Curtis and AUM clinched the team win with William's (rated No. 1) 6-3, 6-3 defeat of Garner.
Zowczak (rated No. 9) knocked off Rice 6-2, 6-1. Lee's Yowarksy and North were held to one game win each by Cunningham and Caro, respectively.

Katie North pushed Vargas before dropping the opening set, 6-3. Vargas would finish the match with a 6-1 second set score.

The Lady Flames will remain on the road with a match at William Carey Friday afternoon. The matchup with the No. 7 Lady Crusaders is set for a 2 p.m. (EST) start.
