Women's Tennis Opens With 9-0 Win Over Christian Brothers

Visitors Default In Six Of Nine Scheduled Matches

The Lee women's tennis team opened the 2014 season with an easy 9-0 victory over (Memphis) Christian Brothers of the Gulf South Conference. The Lady Flames will be seeking their second win of the new year on Friday when they host Georgetown College (Ky.) in matches slated to begin at 2 p.m.

Lee opened doubles play with Tonya Graner and Mclain Yowarsky winning over Carly Lane and Rebecca Johnston, 6-0, 6-1. Unfortunately that was the only doubles competition of the afternoon. CBU had only three players available for action on Sunday.

The teams of Krista Good /Jodie Rice and Annie Sandberg/Kelsey Lovingood won by forfiet.

In singles competition, McGraner, Yowarsky and Sandberg claimed wins before Rice, Good and Morgan Friedlander won by defaults.
