BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- After finishing in 81st at the Lou Cross Country Classic, Stephen Clark was named the Gulf South Conference freshman of the week. Clark ran the 8K race in 24:40 to come in 81st. He helped the Lee University men's cross country team achieve a second-place finish.

The Lee University men's cross country team placed three runners in the top 23 to finish second in the 8K Gold Race at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic. The Flames recorded a team time of 2:00:26.40 and amassed 133 points.

The Flames will be in action again on October 22 in the D2 Showcase at the UAH Charger Invitational in Huntsville, Ala.
