Box Score 2 CLINTON, Miss. – The Lee softball team settled for a doubleheader split on Saturday at Mississippi College. The Lady Flames rolled to a 10-1 game one victory but couldn't find the big hit in falling 3-2 in the nightcap.
The Lady Flames move to 12-12 on the year and 6-7 in the GSC. The Choctaws are now 13-11 and 5-6 in league play. The two clubs will wrap up the weekend series on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
"We came up a little short in game two. The difference in that game was they got one two-out hit that we didn't. We had opportunities but weren't able to capitalize on them. We had a rally late, but it came up short. Ida's (Taylor De Adder) bat came to life and we like to see that. We haven't relied on one person all year so that makes us more dangerous but it's good to have her doing well," said Lee head coach Emily Russell.
