Box Score 2 VALDOSTA, GA. -The Lee University softball team fell to Valdosta State University twice on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Flames dropped game one by a final score of 10-1 and then lost game two by the same score of 10-1. VSU hit three home runs in game one and then two more in game two in the sweep of the Lady Flames. Lee fell to 9-26 overall and 4-14 in GSC play.
 
Game 1
 
VSU struck quickly in the bottom of the first inning. Makenzie Hill reached on an error to lead it off. VSU runners on base when Taylor Macera hit a single to score a run. The very next batter, Mackenzie Kilpatrick, hit a three-run home run to make it 4-0. The Lady Flames got a run back in the second when Sidney Lee hit a solo home run to make it 4-1.
 
VSU added two runs in the bottom of the third when Abby Sulte hit a two-run home run. Kinzie Nelson hit another two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth to make it 8-1. Four batters later, Sulte hit her second two-run home run of the game to make it 10-1.
 
Lee, Javaria Smith, and Olivia Tyson were the only Lady Flames to register a hit in the first game while VSU had 10.
 
Game 2
 
Ana Macha and Kylie Bohl each had a hit in the first and third innings respectively for the Lady Flames and VSU had two walks and that was it for both teams in the first three innings. Lee took the lead in the top of the fourth inning when Alexa Scalzo hit a solo home run.
 
VSU then struck back with five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Macera hit a two-run home run to give VSU a 2-1 lead. Then the Lady Flames issued four straight walks and a double to score three more runs to lead 5-1. The Blazers added five more runs in the fifth to win the game. A walk and two singles added two runs and then Saylor McNearney hit a three-run home run to walk it off.
 
Macha, Scazlo and Bohl each registered hits for Lee while VSU had six hits
 
Lee will play their final mid-week series of the season as they will head to Nashville, Tenn. and take on Trevecca Nazarene on Tuesday, April 4 at 3 and 5 PM.
