Flames Third at Loaded Lucian Rosa Invitational

Pierre Chauveau finished 24th to help the Flames place third Saturday morning in Wisconsin.
RESULTS

KENOSHA, Wis. – The No. 6 Lee University Flames placed third Saturday morning at the Lucian Rosa Invite. The 8K race was held at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course and served as a preview of the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships that will be held on the same course on November 22.

Colorado School of Mines, ranked No. 2, collected 52 points to claim the team win. No. 3 Adams State was second with 59 points. The Flames tallied 91 points to settle into third position. No. 10 Saginaw Valley was fourth (162) and No. 14 UC-Colorado Springs (181) rounded out the top five.

Ahmed Ibrahim of Alabama Huntsville was the top individual with a time of 24:10.03. Lee's top runner was Luke Gaddis who placed eighth overall at 24:40.06. Edimo Ninteretse was close behind at 24:52.33 to place 12th in a field of 220 runners.

Tucker Wright stopped the clock at 25:57.19 and Pierre Chauveau finished 24th (25:11.40). Ryan Lovelace completed the Lee scoring at 30th with a time of 25:16.87.

Chris Ross and Evan Moore acted as the Flames' spacers. Ross crossed the line at 25:50.40 (51st) and Moore placed 56th (25:54.73). Xian Campell's time of 26:32.91 put him in 94th place. Jayden Alfred was the final Lee runner across the finish line at 27:18.85 (147th).

The Flames are scheduled to return to action on October 11 in Huntsville, Alabama, at the UAH Chargers Invitational. The race is set to be contested at John Hunt Park.
