BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Aria Hawkins and Shaw Helfrich each earned a weekly award from the Gulf South Conference on Wednesday after their performances from the previous weekend. 

Aria Hawkins had another huge weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational. She ran the 800/1500. She ran the 800 and placed 30^th overall with a time of 2:15.52. She also ran the 1500 (4:19.84) and placed second overall in a loaded Division I and II field. She is ranked fourth in the nation in the 1500.

Shaw Helfrich competed in Pole Vault at the Mountain Laurel Open in Sewanee. In doing so, he won the meet and is ranked first in conference standings as he made a 4.70 meter clearance..
